The first model that I made was an Airfix Spitfire and that started me modelling aged 7 (Ed – at this point I am sure we have all made this as our first model). The most memorable kit was an Aifix Heinkel ME-177, I was amazed as it had remote turrets and remote flying bombs.

From then on I was hooked on Luftwaffe WWII aircraft. Stopped modelling in my teens and started again when I got married as there was spare time working shifts aged 20. I have made most Luftwaffe kits but no vacforms (Ed – Don’t blame you!). I have always been a keen biker and have owned 10 different bikes. My current bike is a Kawasaki Vulcan D 900 CC. I have just got into German Submarines and Schnellboots.
